Questions, ideas or something not working? Email [email protected]. From inside the app, Settings → Send feedback includes your app version and any crash reports, which helps a lot.
Getting your LinkedIn data
- On LinkedIn, open Get a copy of your data.
- Choose the larger archive (it includes messages, so Bearings can tell who you talk to) or just Connections, then tap Request archive.
- LinkedIn emails a download link, usually within about 10 minutes (the full archive can take up to a day).
- Download the zip and open it with Bearings, or choose it from Import in the app.
Common questions
Where are people’s locations from? LinkedIn’s export doesn’t include them. Bearings works them out on your device from the person’s card in your iPhone Contacts (address, then phone area code), from places in their job title, and from locations you set for people or companies.
Does my data sync between devices? Yes, through your own iCloud Drive, when you’re signed in to iCloud. Android keeps its data on the device.
How do I connect Salesforce? Your Salesforce admin creates a connected app once (Settings → Salesforce → How to set this up walks through it), then you sign in from Settings.
How do I delete my data? Delete the app. To remove the iCloud copy too, open Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Bearings → Delete Data.
